What is Racial Profiling?
A law enforcement-initiated action based on an individual's race, ethnicity, or national origin rather than on the individual's behavior or on information identifying the individual as having engaged in criminal activity. Race or ethnicity means of a particular decent, including Caucasian, African, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, or Native American.
How do you make a complaint if you feel that you have been profiled based on your race?
A complaint may be filed by coming to the Olton Police Department and requesting a complaint form. Once the form is filled out, the complaint will be investigated by the Chief of Police.
